So, our apologies to you weather fans out there. Normal service will hopefully be resumed shortly!
It is a nice day today (Sat) with a strong wind but it is dry and quite mild (Same as last couple of days.) Last day for Pike anglers today on the delf so we will be restocking that soon for the trout season here at Raygill. Give us a call, we always like to talk to you all out there.

Freezing again -4.6 degrees and all the lakes except for the end of the large coarse lake (Pegs1 to 11) are frozen at the moment- even the Quarry Lake. The sun is shining and it is the most beautiful day so some of the ice will probably melt by midday but even as it is now, a sunny spot on the house side of the coarse lake would be the perfect antidote to a Monday morning!
Sunday 17th February
What a beautiful day. Blue sky & sunshine. Last night it was -5.5 degrees but it is up to -0.9 now. The lakes are freezing up slowly but we will squeeze you in somewhere! If you are in the sun it is lovely but in the shade its bitter cold. Come prepared for the cold and you'll be fine.

8.30 am Cold this morning 2 degrees below freezing but hardly any wind and the water has more or less returned to its usual level. By yesterday afternoon even the car park was flooded. Nearly all the fishing pegs on the coarse lake and the very end of the walkway on the Quarry lake were under water.
Monday 21st January
8.30 am Rain again. I've already got soaked through walking over to the fishery. The coarse lakes are filling up and some of the pegs are under water - thank goodness for the overflow! The Quarry lake hardly ever floods so you can fly fish today if you come completely covered in Goretex.
