WE DO NOT ALLOW UNACCOMPANIED JUNIORS ON RAYGILL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME.

Firstly, please be aware of the law..

The Environment Agency law states that if you are over the age of 12 years old you MUST have a valid rod licence to fish for freshwater fish, eels, trout or salmon in England, Wales or the Border Esk in Scotland.
This includes
all private waters and fisheries like ours
(even your own garden pond). Here is the website address for the environment agency so you can  get your rod licence on line. We will not ask to see your licence but we recommend that you always have it with you when fishing.

You are allowed to fish 2 rods per licence.

The NRA man is very keen in this area so you have been warned and he will fine you for the slightest discrepancy.

 Trout Fishing 2009

We are now taking bookings for this year’s any method which will begin in earnest on December 27th 2009. Once again, as in previous years we are going to open up the Delf Lake to all comers who would like to fish “any method” and you can take home as many beautiful rainbow trout as you can carry.  The prices are the same as last year starting at £20 and decreasing to only £10 in the new year.<o:p>

As it is a very busy time for us we would recommend that you book in advance as soon as possible to secure a peg on your chosen day. Also this year, <o:p>

full payment will be taken at the time of booking.

We would  require 24 hours notice of any cancellation on your part  upon which we would either transfer you to a different day or refund your  payment to you minus an administration fee of £5.00 per day.

If the lakes are  un-fishable (e.g. frozen over) we will refund your payment in full or transfer you to a different day. There may be some last minute pegs available each day and you can chance just turning up although booking is recommended.

The café will be open from 7am each morning and food orders will be taken at regular intervals during the day to keep you fed and watered and don’t forget that Raygill Clothing is also open throughout the Christmas period.
